The highest quality
Merisier-Hamilton opened for business in April 2006, importing products from the HGM-Grauthoff Door Group and Pruem-Door Group, both renowned German manufacturers of the highest quality, standard and bespoke interior doors and staircases. Since then we’ve added a beautiful range of solid wood-framed windows from the best manufacturers in Britain and Scandinavia.
Experienced in wood
Merisier-Hamilton has in-depth knowledge of wood-based building products, and a real understanding of builders’ and designers’ needs. Prior to founding the company, Ivan Hamilton held high-level executive responsibilities for the two largest interior door manufacturers worldwide. Ivan was born into a family of engineers, and inherited an interest in carpentry. He learned from childhood to love wood and its applications, hence the company name Merisier: a wild cherry tree with wood of outstanding beauty.

Minimising our environmental impact
Our business is high quality wood products (doors and door frames, windows and staircases). So Merisier-Hamilton has a vested interest in helping to protect forests.
We do our best to ensure that all of our products use only wood obtained from sustainable sources.
Most of the timber used in our Opti door and window range is FSC “chain of custody”-certified timber (from sustainable forests). In addition, it has not been vacuum-treated, and only environmentally friendly water-based paint methods have been used to treat it.
